The short version: this is a personal project, provided as is. Be decent, the site is for adults only, and some linked galleries are NSFW and open at your own risk.
These terms cover your use of rory.pics, redpanda.pet and the tools, APIs and services Rory runs under the name Rory the Red Panda Bamboo Thicket (“the Bamboo Thicket”). By using them you agree to these terms. If you do not, please do not use them.
The service
The Bamboo Thicket is a personal, non-commercial project. It is provided as is and as available. Features, pages and integrations may change, break or disappear without notice.
Age and mature content
The Bamboo Thicket is for adults only (18 or older, or the age of majority where you live if that is higher). It is not for minors and may contain content that is not suitable for them. Rory cannot control who visits the site, so if you are a minor, please leave.
Some photoshoots may be NSFW. Where they are linked from our pages, the links are marked NSFW and not suitable for minors. This work is presented as art, not pornography. You open those galleries at your own risk, and Rory is not responsible for your exposure to them. By following an NSFW link you confirm that you are an adult and that viewing the material is lawful where you are.
Your use
Be decent. You agree not to:
- attack, probe or overload the site or its servers, or try to get around rate limits or security controls (good-faith security reports are welcome at hi@rory.pics);
- scrape the site at a rate that affects other visitors;
- use the service for anything unlawful, or to harass others;
- upload or send content you do not have the right to share.
Sign-in
Visitors do not get accounts. Sign-in with Google is limited to approved logins. If you are one, you are responsible for activity under your login, you can ask to be removed from the approved list at any time, and we may remove a login that breaks these terms. Signing in with Google is governed by Google’s terms as well as these.
Content and licenses
Site code is licensed under MPL-2.0 and written site content under CC BY-NC 4.0, as stated in the project’s license files. Photographs, character art and the Rory the Red Panda likeness remain the property of their creators and are not covered by those licenses unless a page says so. Third-party names and data (Steam, SmugMug, NASA, CARTO and others) belong to their owners.
You keep ownership of anything you send us. You give us permission to use it only as needed to run the feature you sent it to.
No warranty
The service is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Data shown on widgets (positions, statistics, listings) comes from third parties and may be wrong or out of date.
Limit of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Rory is not liable for indirect or consequential damages or loss of data arising from your use of the service. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to US$100. Nothing here limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited.
Ending use
We can change or stop the service, or block access, at any time. You can stop using it whenever you like.
Changes
We may update these terms and will change the date above. Using the service after the change means you accept it.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Maryland, and disputes go to the courts there.
